Anna Artz Handles Belle of Cattail Storm in Utility Field Test at Rocky Mountain Spring 2016 Test.

Over the past several years, we have been holding our field tests in late March at Niagara Springs Wildlife Management Area near Jerome, ID. Typically, we test between 5 and 15 dogs, split between Natural Ability and Intermediate Hunting dogs. It is a treat when we have an occasional Utility Dog. We do not hold a Fall test in our area due to extreme dryness and lack of water appropriate to our testing needs. Some of the Montana members have explored potential places to hold a Fall test in Montana, but we have been unable to find accessible land with all the right ingredients, especially pond or sloughs with enough water to conduct a duck track.
